More or less?

Today's letter is a short one, about finding balance.

It's about recognising that we're humans and things get out of balance sometimes. Life happens… business, kids, your health, weather, traffic… there will always be something to rock the boat one way or another.

All of these things (and more) can make it difficult to keep everything exactly as you might want it, or exactly as you've got it planned.

It can take up energy and time stressing about where you’re at versus where you’d like to be right now. And it can dent your self-esteem too...

And so today Reader, is simply an invitation to take a moment and think about…

🌟 right now, what is it that you need more of in your life?

🌟 and what do you need less of?

and how can you gently tweak both or either of those (even if it's only by 1%, or 5%) in this coming week, bringing you a little bit closer to that balance point?

Do reply and let me know what you come up with, what big or small changes you need to make this week.

Do you need to explore?

If more-or-less is something that you would like to explore in a safe and non-judgemental environment please do reach out - I currently have availability for Explore Hours in June.

In case you don't already know my Explore Hour is, it’s a very spacious session allowing you to take time to explore what is that you need to focus on right now, whether that is figuring out what you need, making a plan for what you already know you want to do, or maybe you’re just ready to find out what it feels like to coach with me. You can simply drop me an email to find out more if this sounds good to you, or you can book your session right here.

My ethical marketing pledge...

As a business owner I need to do marketing! I need to share and sell my ideas, my workshops and my coaching time, in order to have a sustainable business and an income with which I can do good in the world. You probably do too.

And I feel so very strongly that this needs to be done in an ethical, non-manipulative way, so I can sleep at night, and so that you always feel comfortable hanging out in my world.

So I've signed up to The Ethical Move; this is my pledge...

I'm making the ethical move to be a breath of fresh air in a world of cringe-worthy tactics AND to inspire others to join us.
I'm championing doing things differently and doing things right. I want my people to come with me because it's right for them, not because it's right for me.
And I give full permission to anyone to call me out if I'm marketing unethically in any way, at any time.

It's easy to sign up (if you really mean it!) and it doesn't half feel good. Join me?

As always, thank you for inviting me into your inbox; I love writing my letters to you and it's a real privilege to be here.

With love

Sarah xx

PS.If you know a friend who'd enjoy a copy please do forward this to them and let them know that sign up for my weekly-ish letters is just here :)

On making your own rules, seasonal shifts & writing / not-writing. Skip to the bottom to read about my next retreat (9th Oct), ethical marketing and an online summit you’ll (probably) want to attend. Hello you. Most of us have grown up hearing we should be consistent, push through no matter what, and always be striving for more. But resting, changing your mind, being content with ‘enough’? Well, you’ll never get anywhere with that attitude… Yet we are cyclical. We aren’t consistent… I’ve...

Hello you, I wonder if, like me, you're just too warm to do much right now? So, today is a short letter with a very simple invitation… I’d love it if you could change "sorry" to "thank-you" 🙏 And because you’ll want to know why (I don’t blame you!) I’ll tell you ;) It’s this. Far too often I hear myself, and others, apologising for… … taking up space and for showing emotion… Neither of which are sorry-worthy, ever. 🤔 Maybe you learned that it’s not “lady-like” to take up too much space or...

"What if it goes wrong?" is a REALLY good question to ask. Chatting with a friend recently, she was telling me how negative she felt about a family decision. Not the decision itself, but this; all her husband kept talking about was how brilliant it would be if they went ahead. And he dismissed her question entirely. "What if it goes wrong?" went unanswered. She felt like the doom-and-gloom part of the team, and she couldn't settle with the decision. As humans we are biased towards negativity...
